A very lively coffeeshop located in the heart of the Red Light District. Lots of tables and big windows to watch the masses roll into the sex zone!

Perfect setting on a Warmoesstraat corner. Looks huge from the outside, but the inside proves it to be smaller as one would expect. Nice Indian decor. Makes you feel you're on a cloud already.
Menu: 4
Good menu but average quality.
Summary
Favourite hangout of my Liverpool mate Moonjuice420, and I have to agree with him there... if I can bring my weed from elsewhere.
Service: 5
The lady behind the counter should learn how to smile but the service was good. Guess you won't get more than what you payed for in this place.

Nice Indian decor, and a very comfortable sofa. Though it's usually in use. A whole load of crazy stuff on the walls. Quite cramped when the place is busy, however.
Menu: 7
Not a huge selection, but decently-priced and in suitable quantities.
Summary
A great place to sit in for hours and get steadily mashed. As another reviewer said, it's also nice to sit by the window and watch Amsterdam go by. Great cafe latte, too. Recommended.
Service: 7
Highly knowledgable woman behind the counter, but she never smiled once. Someone load her a cone or something.

Vibe feels nice and relaxed yet there is a constant buzz. nice place where you can just sit and watch the world go by but not feel too out of it.
Menu: 3
Didn't buy here.
Summary
Service: 2
One of the waitresses had a real attitude problem, the ageing blonde slapper, can't comment on the rest, but she was a real sour cow, the Only down side to Babas.

Although BaBa appears tacky whilst looking in from the outside, once seated the Indian theme grows upon you, and the large statue of Govinda (or Shiva?) is impressive. Tunes were hard house or (more to my taste) hard trance. Ultra-annoying Yank tourists.
Menu: 9
Nice, varied and cheap menu, surprising considering it's prime Warmoesstraat location. The Caramello I tried was my second-favourite hash of my visit, and the Jack Herer was pretty damn tasty too. Worth a visit if only for the weed!
Summary
On an ending note, the bong I used in BaBa was my favourite piece of glass that I used. A huge lab-style operation, the tokes it allows are smooth and unbelievably huge. Load 'er up with 1/2g of Jack and you will experience concious dreams! BaBa looks shit but is really quite delightful.
Service: 6
Unremarkable. The dealer was a pretty nice chap though.

Very Indian themed! with funky trance playing (when I visited), good juices (no alcohol) and comfy chairs.
Menu: 9
Impressive! White Widdow, Jack H, Skunk Redhair, Orange Bud, and all of the above (the crystals of) in a 2.8g tube for 11 euros! also some good hash.
Summary
Service: 5
Quiet staff. But they serve their purpose.

An attractive coffeeshop close to the Dam with a nice wooden decor complete with that cool Hindi vibe. Always too busy, I was surprised when we scored a window table our last visit.
Menu: 8
Last year we stocked up on superb hash brownies and grass muffins for a Klaus Schulze concert. March'02 gave us the opportunity to try the Caramello Hash. Mmm, mmm! I wish Cadbury would sell bars of this in the US!
Summary
It's a nice shop, it only really suffers from Dam Sq. syndrom: too damn close to Central Station, thus too many customers and that almost jaded feel to the staff. Shame, though, it is pretty cool. It's one of the only t-shirt purchases I made.
Service: 7
Informative but not overly friendly. I think the reviewer before me put it well..."typical Dutch"!
